The BCC Story
Better Consumer Choices was founded in 1999 to assist area senior citizens who had been deceived and "ripped off" by unscrupulous businesses and individuals in the area. Several local, reputable company owners were asked to voluntarily undergo a criminal background check which was verified and then provided to area seniors. When other consumers heard of the BCC approved business list, they too requested the listing, enabling them to quickly find trusted businesses. This verification process is the basis for BCC today.
There are many trustworthy, honest, and reputable businesses seeking consumers that desire these attributes and Better Consumer Choices has become the destination to finding those companies. There are also many consumers seeking those businesses that have. This is a Win-Win arrangement since the member business can now be found in a location trusted by consumers as well as other businesses.
In 2009 BCC looked at the marketplace and saw the need for an "Approved Vendor List" for businesses seeking the services of other businesses. While large companies have staff to verify the businesses they contract with, smaller companies simply cannot afford the high cost it brings. BCC member companies on our list can easily be found by companies wishing to do business with a verified company they know have met and maintain the high standards needed today.
Today, BCC continues to represent and promote honest companies to all consumers and corporations, ensuring the vendors and their employees have passed our stringent standards, thereby bringing you or your business the extra layer of security you deserve.
Mission Statement
Better Consumer Choices will continually seek, represent, and hold accountable only those businesses with the ability to pass a high level of scrutiny and distinguish themselves as advocates for consumer protection. Better Consumer Choices will then promote these worthy businesses to discriminating consumers, thus making our community a safer place to live and conduct business.
